Manuel Amador Barbosa, 75, passed away peacefully in his home in Toms River, NJ on Friday, April 10, 2020, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Bunheiro, Murtosa, Portugal and came to the United States in 1973 and resided in Newark, NJ before moving to Toms River, NJ three years ago.
Manuel was a Laborer for Union Local 472, Newark, NJ for 27 years, retiring at the age of 55.
Beloved husband of 56 years to Ana Antonia (DaSilva) Barbosa; devoted and loving father of Maria Castanheira and her husband Al, Armindo Amador and his wife Lisa, Ana Paula Coelho and her husband Nuno, Christina Valeira and her husband Steve; cherished grandfather of Ashley, Brittany, Jason, Samantha, Melissa, Christopher, Hailey, Melaney, Kaila, Tyler and Aubrey; great-grandfather of Benjamin and Everly.
Due to the restrictions recently placed on occupancy in public spaces by the State of New Jersey in the ongoing efforts to limits the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Manuel’s funeral arrangements are private.
A Memorial Service will be offered for Manuel at a later date.
