Margaret M Damato

Born in Newark, NJ. She lived in Newark, NJ before moving to Beachwood, NJ in the 70’s. She lived in Beachwood for 30 years before moving to Silver Ridge Park Westerly.

Marge graduated with honors from West Side HS in 1965 and Kean College (1969) received her master degree from Monmouth College while 8 months pregnant with her daughter teaching full time and having her husband and 5yr son at home. She taught 32 years for the Lakewood Board of Education as a special education teacher. She was honored to be chosen as teacher of the year in 2000. Marge was active in her children's lives and activities. When moving to silver ridge she was active in various clubhouse activities and enjoyed the sunny days at the pool surrounded by grandchildren and friends.

Predeceased by: her husband Daniel A Damato Sr., her parents Raymond and Mary Malachoski, her sister Mary M Fulling.

Survived by: Son, Daniel A Damato Jr. (Jolynda) and Daughter, Gina M O’Hara.Her sisters, Theresa Clay and Rosemarie Lutz. As well as Grandchildren: Gabriella R Suebert and Husband Tyler J Seubert, Daniel A Damato III, Johnathan M Damato, Isabella M O’Hara, Ashley R O’Hara, and step granddaughter Hannah Christopher.

The family will have a celebration of life for relatives and friends Wednesday February 5th, 2025 from 4-7pm at Silver Ridge Westerly Clubhouse, 39 Millbrook Drive, Toms River, NJ 08757.
