Margaret (Peggy) O'Brien, age 85, of Toms River passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hamilton Township, Peggy resided in Glassboro for 34 years before coming to Toms River. She was employed as a Bank Teller for The First National Bank of Glassboro for 18 years before her retirement in 1989.
Peggy is survived by her husband Joseph of 66 years; their three sons: Joseph and his wife Elaine of Glassboro, Glenn and his wife Sharon of Pitman and Dave and his wife Linda of Pittsgrove; her brother Robert Mohr of Hamilton Township; her sister Lois Fone also of Hamilton Township and her niece Kimberly Lipsey of New Egypt. She is also survived by two loving grandchildren: Joseph A. and Sherri and three great grandchildren: Joseph, Chloe and Landon.
A memorial mass will be held Friday, June 27, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 685 Hooper Ave. Toms River. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Van Dyke Hospice, 99 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755. Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, Toms River is in charge of arrangements.
