Born on October 3, 1948, Marguerite had a profound love for animals, especially English Bulldogs. She spent much of her life rescuing and caring for countless dogs. Her home was always filled with the warmth and companionship of the many dogs she nurtured, each one a testament to her compassion and generous spirit.
Marguerite, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, strength, and dedication to her family and community. Her legacy lives on in her devoted husband, Craig Maher, and their children, Sean, Max, Hillary, and Noah, who will forever cherish the love and guidance she gave them.
Marguerite's life was a living example of how one person's quiet yet unwavering dedication to others—both human and animal—can leave an enduring legacy. Her love for dogs reflected her broader belief in the importance of kindness and care, a belief that she instilled in all who knew her.
Though she will be deeply missed, Marguerite’s spirit lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many lives—both human and animal—that she touched throughout her life.
Her family invites friends and loved ones to a celebration of Marguerite’s life on September 24, 2024, at Anderson & Campbell at 703 Main St., Toms River from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, with a repass to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Midatlantic Bulldog Rescue, honoring her enduring dedication to animals in need.
