

Maria was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal and lived in Fall River, Massachusetts before moving to Toms River. She was sponsored by trade to immigrate to the United States with her husband in 1969. Her two sons joined them the following year. She created a loving home for her family in this new land as she worked as a seamstress. In 1971 they moved to Fall River Massachusetts where she was a respected fabric inspector until her retirement 23 years later.
Maria loved her family here and abroad and found a special joy in children. She was always known to share a smile and hum a tune. Her energy found a way to brighten every ones day.
Maria was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Adoraldo P. deAlmeida. She is survived by her two sons Victor and his wife Maria of Jefferson, Georgia and John and his wife Mara of Toms River New Jersey. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren Alex, Andrea, Jon Patrick, Corey, Cristen and Rachel, as well as 6 great grandchildren Hailey, Ahria, Tucker, Ophelia, Londyn and Finn.
Maria will be cremated and her ashes laid to rest with her husband in Athens, Georgia.
