Isabel came to the United States in 1980.
She and her husband lived in Manchester since 2004.
Isabel worked for Harnett Transit Services., in Lakewood for 10 years until she retired in 2013.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jose; her daughter Maria Alexandra Monroy and Bob Angstadt of Philadelphia, PA; daughter, Cristina Monroy of Roselle; son, Jose H. Monroy, Jr. and Ana J. Gomes of Cranford; daughter, Paola and Manuel Ruiz of North Plainfield; five grandchildren, Acacio Escada, Sofia Monroy, Brooke L. Ruiz, Sebastian Monroy, Bobby Angstadt; and two brothers, Alfonso Zapata and Daniel Zapata.
A memorial service will be held at St. Anthony Claret Church, 720 Ocean Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701.
A private cremation has been entrusted to Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 W, Toms River, NJ.
