Maria Oviedo

June 30, 1945 – July 28, 2026

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Tita on July 28, 2026, at the age of 81.

Maria is survived by her beloved husband, Sergio Oviedo; her children, Elizabeth, Alex, Gabriella, Brenda, and Christian; her 11 grandchildren; her 9 great-grandchildren; and her four surviving siblings.

Born in Mexico, Maria carried with her the values of family, faith, and perseverance throughout her life. She later came to the United States, where she built a life filled with love, devotion, and countless cherished memories surrounded by her family.

Maria will be remembered for her compassionate heart, unwavering kindness, generous spirit, and unconditional love. She welcomed everyone with warmth and treated others with genuine care, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her selflessness, grace, and love left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Maria was the heart of her family. Her greatest joy was her loved ones, and she poured her love, strength, and wisdom into every generation. Her faith in God was a guiding light throughout her life, providing her with comfort, hope, and strength. She was a woman of deep faith who trusted in the Lord and shared that love and faith with those around her.

Maria leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humility, compassion, and unwavering faith that will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her. Her greatest legacy is not measured by the years she lived, but by the countless lives she touched through her love.

Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

May she rest in eternal peace, forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.   

Visitation will be held at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753 on August 2, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
