Marie R. Ginolfi

August 29, 1929 - July 22, 2020

Marie Ginolfi, 90, of Toms River New Jersey, Passed away July 22, 2020. Marie was born on August 29, 1929, in Jersey City, New Jersey. There she grew up with her mother, father, and three siblings. She graduated from Dickinson High School, and attended graduate classes at Jersey City State College. She married her husband Artie on October 15, 1950. She started her family in Jersey City, and eventually moved into the home her husband built in Toms River. She took pride in raising her four beautiful children (The Four Seasons) along with working as a test facilitator for the U.S. Government.

Marie was a talented artist, who showed interest and promise at a young age. She was an active member of the Island Heights Artist Guild. Marie’s work was featured in local art shows, and loved to work with talented painters through workshops. She loved to paint with watercolor, but was also talented in oil and other mediums. Blessed with her style and artist’s eye, she approached everything she did as an opportunity to create beauty. Elegantly written and illustrated letters, flower arrangements, meals, and stylish outfits were all her works of art.

Marie and her husband Artie, created a beautiful life with one another. They were married just short of 69 years, and had many hobbies shared together. They loved the water and being at the Jersey Shore. Marie and her husband enjoyed sailing, and were active members of the Barnegat Bay Sail Club. When they weren’t sailing you could find them at the beach, or planning their next cruise. Marie and her husband cruised all over the Caribbean, but their favorite place to visit was always Bermuda.

Marie was a woman of strong faith and love. She was a member of Saint Catharine of Siena Church, The Rosary Altar Society, The Catholic Daughters of The Americas, and The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary (council 8415). In life's greatest challenges and hardships, her faith was her strength. She always showed her love through her actions. Her greatest joys in life came from being around her family. She was fun, loving, strong, and alongside her husband, was the heart of the family. In her words “You are Beautiful, You are Lovely, You are Loved”.

Marie was predeceased by her parents, James and Rose Giunta, her siblings Claire, Francis, and Louis, husband Arthur Daniel Ginolfi, and daughter Linda Marie Savage. She is survived by her children, Barbara Ann Lloyd and husband Linuel, Arthur D. Ginolfi and wife Susan, and Patricia Kohr. Grandchildren Caroline Yakar, David Savage, Brian Lloyd, Michele Lloyd, Sara Ginolfi, Caroline Ginolfi, Daniel Ginolfi, Gregory Kohr, and Megan Kohr.
