
Marilyn Ruth (Linde) Lewandowski, age 72, of Berkeley Township, passed away at Community Medical Center on Saturday October 2, 2021. Marilyn, known as DeeDee to her family and friends, was born January 20, 1949 to Doris and Carl Maynard Linde. Marilyn has two daughters, Sherry Lewandowski and Denise (Lewandowski) Santeramo, both of Toms River. Growing up, her family resided in Weehawken, NJ. Her and her family would spend their summers in Seaside Park, which helped her make the decision to move to Toms River from North Jersey nearly 20 years ago.
Marilyn loved her family more than anything in the world, and spent majority of her life caring for all those around her, putting her own needs last. From her grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, cousins, children, nieces, nephews, friends and others, over the years everyone knew Marilyn would be there for them no matter what. Marilyn had a genuine, kind soul and her smile and laugh were infectious to all who knew her. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family, hosting dinner parties and cookouts, crocheting, vacationing, and spending as much time at the beach as possible. Everyone was always welcome at Marilyn's table. Marilyn was a very patriotic, proud Gold Star family member. Marilyn also served the communities she resided in over the years as an H&R Block Tax Preparer.
Marilyn is predeceased by multiple family members including her parents Carl and Doris Linde; her nephews SSG John Linde and Jeff Linde; her cousins Diane Hicks and Carolee Witt; and most recently her lifelong friends of Jeanette and Bill Sanders.
Marilyn is survived by many who love her including her two daughters Sherry Lewandowski and Denise (Lewandowski) Santeramo with her spouse John Santeramo; her four siblings: Mike Linde, Margaret Linde, John Linde with his spouse Annemarie Wilson Linde, and Chris (Linde) Ferlisi with her spouse Rich Ferlisi. Marilyn has 5 aunts and uncles, 15 nieces and nephews (including spouses), 11 great nieces and nephews, 4 great-great nieces and nephews, and many other extended members of her family.
A Memorial Visitation will be on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 11 am to 1:00 pm with a service at 12 noon, at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 W, Toms River, NJ.
