Born in 1935, Marge was the youngest of the 11 children of Conrad and Margaret Sandrock of Hollywood, PA – a small, coal mining town near Hazleton - and was a proud graduate of Hazle Township High School.
In her career as a registered nurse, Marge brought comfort, healing, and a gentle touch to countless patients throughout her career. Her natural gift for nurturing extended far beyond the hospital walls, as she was a profoundly devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother; a steadfast friend; and a beacon of warmth to everyone she met. “Momma Marge” truly had a heart with infinite room - she loved people unconditionally and made everyone feel like family.
When she wasn't taking care of others, Marge found immense joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid reader who could always be found immersed in a good book, and her talented hands were rarely still, constantly knitting beautiful blankets, sweaters, hats and mittens for her loved ones and church bazaars. Her absolute favorite place to be was the beach, where she enjoyed the sound of the ocean and the warmth of the sun with her feet in the sand. She loved coffee and a good game of Scrabble. Her legacy of kindness, deep friendship, and unwavering love of family and friends will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Marge was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Toms River since 1965 where she was a member of the knitting and crafting groups. She also volunteered at the Soup Kitchen and Pancake Breakfasts for many years. Outside the church, she volunteered her time with Habitat for Humanity in their ReStore and was a coordinator and driver for Caregivers of Ocean County.
Marjorie was predeceased by her husband John in 2017 and is survived by her children John (Jeannie), Dean (Patricia) and Kim Davis (Edward); her grandchildren Joshua, Matthew (Brandi), Rachel (Benjamin), John, Mark and Neil; and great grandchildren Conrad and Josie.
