

Marvin served as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army artillery during the Korean War. Marvin and his late wife, Phyllis, lived in Baldwin Harbor, Long Island for 37 years before moving to The Fairways in Lakewood in 1998. Marvin was an active resident at the Fairways, chairing various committees and serving on the Board.
Marvin worked as a fine printing paper salesman, developing relationships with printers over the many years of his career in the New York metropolitan area. Never without a smile, Marvin always had a story or a joke ready at hand.
Marvin was proud to be Mason, a past Master of Arcana Lodge in New York City, and a past District Deputy.
Predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Phyllis, in 2021, and by his brother, Stanley in 1988, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Brian and Ruth Kerr of Toms River, two granddaughters, Debra and Benjamin Meigs, and Laura and Dr. Jeremy Price, and three great-granddaughters, Matilda and Hattie Price and Madison Meigs.
A funeral service for Marvin will be held Friday, November 24, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Congregation B'nai Israel, 1488 Old Freehold Road, Toms River, NJ 08753. Following the funeral service will be a burial at B'nai Israel Memorial Park Cemetery, 1224 West Whitty Road, Toms River, NJ 08755.
Memorial donations may be sent to the Congregation B’nai Israel Educational Endowment Fund.
