

Michael A. Grando, 90, of Brick, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Shorrock Gardens in Brick. Born in New York City, he lived in Jackson, Florida, and Silverwoods in Toms River before moving to Brick in 2009. Michael was employed as a Foreman of the sheet metal workers at McGuire Air Force Base for 30 years before retiring in 2009. He was an Army Veteran of WW II. Michael enjoyed traveling, dancing, and spending time with his loving family. He was skilled at all wood working, especially building furniture and refurbishing houses.
He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth K. Grando in 2007, his parents, Christ and Dorothy Grando, sisters, Angela, Christina, Mary and Anna and his brother, Roy. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and John Kruysman; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael E. and Mary Grando and Andrew and Donna Grando; four grandchildren, Chris and his wife Kim, Matt and his wife Jessica, Andrew and Eric; and five cherished great grandchildren, Connor, Carly, Cash, Nicole and Casey.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River.
