

Noelia R. Betancourt, 93, of Bradley Beach, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Born in Cuba, she resided in New York City before moving to Bradley Beach in 1973. Noelia worked as a children’s dress designer and later as a realtor in New York City. When she moved to Bradley Beach she owned and operated Park Place Swim Club for over 25 years. Noelia was a member of Deborah Heart and Lung Foundation; the Republican Club and a Rotary Auxiliary member, all of Bradley Beach. She loved surrounding herself with family and good friends and socializing with everyone she would meet.
She was predeceased by her husband Luis in 1997. Surviving are her son Louis and his wife Deidre; two daughters Adele Kahwaty and Iris Syvarth and her husband John; three brothers, Manuel Rey, Fausto Rey and Renan Rey; 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 4 cherished great great grandchildren and one on the way.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Park.
