Patricia Vella

Patricia Rose Vella (nee Campano) of Toms River, NJ was called home to our Heavenly Father surrounded by her family on October 4, 2024 at the age of 84.  Daughter of the late Ralph and Theresa Campano.  She was raised in Bayonne and lived in Jersey City before moving to Toms River in retirement.

She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years William Vella; siblings Giacomo and Deanna Campano; Helen and George Bochman; Eugene and Eleanor Falconer; Ronald and Mildred Falconer; Charles Falconer; Georgine and Edward Sarro; brothers-in-law George Francis and William VanPelt.  

Survived by siblings Anthony and Maryann Campano; Ralph Campano; Dorothy Francis; Jacqueline VanPelt; sister-in-law Madeline Falconer; numerous nieces and nephews.

Devoted mother of William and his wife Carin; Robert and his partner Marianne; Todd and his wife Patricia; Kelly (Jack); and Mark.  Loving and cherished grandmother of Brandon, Nicolette, Ciara, Jaclyn, William, Allie, and Josh.

Retired from the Jersey City Building Department, she enjoyed daily mass followed by breakfast with her friends from St. John’s; watching Jeopardy as well as re-runs of Columbo and Monk; and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM at St. John’s Catholic Church, 619 Chestnut St., Lakehurst, NJ 08733 on Friday October 11, 2024.  A private interment will be held at a later date.
