Raymond M. Ely Jr., age 44, of Ocean Gate, passed away on August 1, 2021, in Toms River, He was born in Edison on July 14, 1977, and grew up in Linden, and moved to Howell then relocated to Barnegat before settling down in Ocean Gate.
Raymond worked as a CDL instructor at Superior Driving School in Toms River for 6 years. Raymond was a passionate Green Bay Packers fan and loved to spend his time fishing.
Raymond is survived by his mother and father, Susan and Raymond Ely of Hazlehurst, GA; his brother, Jason Ely of Ocean Gate; his fiancée, Sarah Gomm; his two sons, Brendan Ely and Ayden Gomm; his nephew, Alex Ely of Union Beach; and his loving dog Chance and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 8, 2021, from 12-3 pm at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 W, Toms River, 08755. A repast will be held at 5 pm August 8 at Lacey Community Hall, 101 North Main St., Forked River, NJ 08731
