Raymond H. Spangler, Jr., age 84, died peacefully at home on Sunday, March 22, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Jetnil and Matthew Spangler together with 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters and one brother predeceased.
Raymond lived in the Hudson Valley of New York for over thirty years ministering to people through pastoring at the First Congregational Church, Chapel Hill Bible Church and Transformation Life Center. He impacted and changed countless lives for Christ and was instrumental for many in their Christian walk. His faith was a testament of his love for his Mighty God that he wanted to share with all and he did it well. His loved ones are comforted knowing he went home to Heaven confident he was loved. He will assuredly be greeted by Our Heavenly Father with arms open wide and the words, “Well done good and faithful servant.”
The family will be honoring Raymond at some time in the Fall with a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Samaritan’s Purse ministry.
