Richard E. "Dick" Gaffney, 87 of Beachwood, died peacefully at home on November 24, 2023. He was a member of Plumbers Union Local 690 in Philadelphia and worked many years for The Gerngross Corporation, retiring in 1997. He also loved photography and was a Certified Professional Photographer. Born in Philadelphia, Pa he lived in Toms River for 40 years before moving to Beachwood in 1999.
He was predeceased by his first wife Ann Marie Gaffney in 1997. Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Susanne J. Gaffney (Beachwood, NJ), son Richard Gaffney and wife Anna (Forked River, NJ, daughter Kathie Okita and her husband Randy, (Denver, Co), grandchildren Melissa Gaffney (Manhattan) and Victoria Troncoso (Forked River, NJ) and great grandson Jaime A. Troncoso, III. Also his wife's children son Richard Pyne and family, Christine, Richie, Reilly and daughter Kimberly Maguire and family, William, William Matthew and Kyle.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 29th from 7 - 9 PM at Anderson and Campbell, Main Street in Toms River.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Veterans Administration.
