Dear Janet and family,
We were so saddened to learn of the passing of your beloved husband, father, and grandfather.  May the memory of a life so well lived be for a blessing to all of you.

I am so sorry to learn of his passing. My condolences to the Sambol family.

Dick was a great man who inspired us so much  and we enjoyed our times together. Traveling with Dick and Janice were times we'll never forget. Our hearts go out to the Sambols and we send all our love.

Today was a beautiful day and it was appropriate that Dick should be laid to rest on a warm and sunny day because it was a reflection of his personality.  For the past 47 years we have waved to Dick and Janice sitting one row away on every high-holy day.  They set a standard in our community and we recognized it many years ago and used it as our standard to follow.  They were role models and taught us through their actions and deeds and we are appreciative for that.  Through the years we approached them numerous times for support for political candidates, UJA, Project Renewal, and on and on.   We knew we could always count on them to stand and be counted.  They were unpretentious and approachable  generous and caring.  

Our thoughts are with Janice and the entire Sambol Family at this time of enormous loss.  Dick's smiling face will live on in our thoughts for every high-holy day to come.  We will pass on to our children the lessons of philanthropy we learned from Dick.  It was an honor and privilege to know him these many years.

I had the honor of working for this great man for many years. Although I played a small part, I'll never forget the time he told me how important I was to the company. I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Sambol. My deepest condolences to the Sambol family

I met Mr. Sambol 25 years ago and whenevr we had the occasion to see each other he was gracious and kind as he was to thoses who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a man of class and character. I have many fond memories of sharing the 4th of July at your home and seeing Dick at Metedeconk. He was a wonderful man, will truly be missed and always remembered.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to the entire Sambol family.  It was my pleasure to do business with Dick and later with Eric for more than twenty years.  He was a man of his word, a great philanthropist (one of the reasons my father liked him so much) and a true mensch.

Our Deepest sympathies to Janice and the family.  Ray and I both respected him so much and really enjoyed working for him,  he made you feel appreciated.  He will missed by many.

A great man has left a truly great impact on all of our lives. He will be deeply missed.

While I will be unable to attend the services for Mr. Sambol it is with extreme sadness that I learned of his passing today. I was very honored to provide my services to Mr. Sambol and the Sambol Family many years ago. That time I did spend in their service is fondly remembered by me to this very day. 

Mr. Sambol was a man for which I have maintained a great respect since men those like him are few and far between in our society today. My services to the likes of Sen. Bill Hiering, Mr. Kevork Hovnanian and Mr. Richard Sambol showed me much of men like them whose success came with hard work and sacrifice that is not often seen in our society today. 

My time with Mr. Sambol is remembered with two words said to me that to me meant so much when said by Mr. Sambol at the end of every service day. Two words said to me that I am certain were said heartfelt appreciation for the service I provided to him daily. 

Those two words said to me nightly were Thank You. I can assure you those two words in a service career like mine were not often said to me except by the true gentlemen mentioned in this note and especially so by Mr. Richard S. Sambol a man
whom I will continue to respect and think well of until like him I pass from this world. 

The world is a much less hospitable place with the passing of this fine man who went through life not seeking acknowledgement for his philanthropic and religious endeavors. Rest well Mr. Sambol and to you I say Thank You.

My  heart goes out to JaNEt &  the boys. Dick Sambol was a great man. Besdies runiung his business he was a Trustee of PAUL KIMBALL HOSPITAL

It was my great fortune to be able to know and work with Dick Sambol.  He brought out the best in those of us who had this unique privilege.
