Born in Jersey City, he moved to Toms River area in 1973, where he met and married his beloved wife Michelle of 33 years.
Richard was the proprietor of Braun’s Painting Inc. serving Ocean County for many years.
Richard was good natured, always seen smiling, joking or laughing. He was a good friend and neighbor. A loving and supportive father, he spent time with his family, especially his grandchildren Cooper and Emma. Sundays were reserved for his beloved Giants or whatever night they may be playing.
Richard was predeceased by his parents Joseph Scran Sr. and Victoria Scran (Byzynski) and twin brother Joseph Scran Jr.
He is survived by his wife Michelle Scran (Green); son Richard Scran Jr.; daughter Megan Scran; brother Bruce Scran; sisters Veronica Loiacono and her husband Tom and Patricia Schiele and husband Joseph.
He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Cooper and Emma Scran; brother and sisters in laws: Carol Scran, Michael Green and Mark Green and his wife Laurie; nieces and nephews: Thomas Loiacono, Jason Loiacono, John Scran, Joseph Scran III, Kara Young, Eric Donato, Joseph Donato, Catherine Langer, Nichole Caruso, Brian Green and Fiona Green as well as 14 grandnieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 23rd from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 24th 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions to (the family) offset expenses would be most appreciated.
