
Bobby was born June 16th, 1952 in Elizabeth, NJ to Lillian Booth Harmer and Walter Harmer (predeceased). They lived in Roselle, NJ along with siblings Daniel & Jean Va., Pauline & Richard Gregg (predeceased) NJ, Walter (predeceased). Bobby moved to Carteret, NJ where he became a big brother to Thomas & Robbin Va., Donald & Ellen NJ, Kenneth NJ, and Mae & Russell Howard NJ,. After moving to Hazlet, NJ, Bobby graduated from Raritan High school in 1969. This is where he met & married the "Love of his Life" Joy Ann and they had Robert Jr. and JulieAnn. Bobby settled in Jackson, NJ where he worked as a Machinist/Mold Maker for Williams Tool & Dye, along with becoming a Trainer/Owner of Standard Breed Race Horses. Bobby always had a love for the great outdoors. He enjoyed many years of gardening he enjoyed large family barbecues all summer long. Large family holidays in winter with his son Robert Jr and Amy, along with Daughter JulieAnn and David Vaugh Jr. Bobby retired to Toms River,
where he continued to be a very proud "Family man", and his favorite title PopPop to his Grand children Cynthia, Catherine and her future husband Ryan, Robert III (predeceased) Joseph, Thomas, and soon to be MiaJoy.
Cremation was private under the direction of Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Rt 37 West, Toms River.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday from 4-6pm.
