Robert S. Teresak was born in Bridgewater, NJ, on December 21, 1934 and lived in Raritan and Bridgewater with his wife Patricia K. Teresak (Smalley) whom he married on April 28, 1956. Bob and Pat moved to Silver Beach, NJ, in 1979 and then settled in Island Heights, NJ, where they lived for 30 years. Bob was affectionately known as Mr. T and was a self-employed builder. Bob always had a boat and loved to waterski, fish, or just drive family and friends around the local rivers, bays and ocean. His prized boat, the "Reel" T, was named after his love for fishing, his nickname, and Patricia's occupation as a realtor. Bob and Pat traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, and enjoyed many trips to San Diego, California. They had a way of making friends with anyone they met, especially the waitstaff at restaurants they frequented. Bob had an endearing love for dogs, but he had a soft spot for his black labs Rocky and Roxie. Roxie and Bob were inseparable until Roxie’s passing last year. His most memorable trait was his loud and contagious laugh that got even louder when he was telling his incredible life stories. These stories will be treasured forever by his family.
Robert is survived by his wife Patricia, his son Robert Teresak Jr. and wife Annamarie Frezza, his daughter Lynn Schade and husband Michael, his daughter Dena Pollaro and husband Nick, grandchildren Michael Schade and wife Stephanie, Brady Schade, Krista Teresak and husband Kyle O'Connell, Tarryn Teresak and fiance Eric Zeimetz, Troy Teresak, Cory Schade, Jarod Pollaro, Jessica Pollaro and great-grandchildren Michael and Samantha Schade. He is also survived by his sister Frances Pinarchick, sister-in-law Barbara Fazio and husband Steve, and many nieces and nephews. Robert is predeceased by his father Andrew F. Teresak, his mother Celeste Brooks Teresak, and his brother Andrew "Buddy" Teresak.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations to the American Heart Association in Robert's name.
