Robert was born in New York City on April 13, 1944 to his loving parents Richard and Emily Weiner. Robert was raised in New York City alongside his older brother, Richard. For more than 58 years, Robert was a devoted husband to his wife, Lois. Together, they lovingly raised their two children, Christina and Michael. His greatest sense of pride and joy came from his eight grandchildren, Kyle, Reese, Emily, Connor, Tyler, Madelinh, Brooklynn and Elisabeth, and his two great-grandchildren Kyle Jr. and Maci. Robert also dearly loved his nieces Therese, Julie and Teia.
For almost a quarter of his life, Robert battled Parkinson's Disease. However, this is not what defined him as a person. Apart from his deep and endless love for his family, Robert was an avid sports fan… The Boston Celtics, San Francisco Giants, Chicago Blackhawks, and of course, his favorite, The New York Giants. He was well known for always having a joke at the ready, always trying to make others happy, and always being more concerned of the wellbeing of others before that of his own. Robert worked several decades for the U.S. Postal Service, before finally retiring in 2002. A dedicated husband, amazing father, kind-hearted friend, and a hard worker, who always went through life with a smile. Robert will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Family-only funeral services are scheduled for February 3, 2024 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home in Toms River, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
