

Robert Weland, 86, passed away on December 30, 2025, in Toms River, New Jersey. Born on December 6, 1939, in Paterson, New Jersey, Robert lived a full and vibrant life marked by compassion, resilience, and an unwavering dedication to helping others.
A graduate of Toms River High School, Robert remained deeply connected to his community throughout his life. He built a meaningful career focused on supporting young people, dedicating himself to helping juveniles find their way and build productive futures. His work left a lasting impact on many lives and reflected his deep belief in second chances and the potential for growth in every individual.
Robert was known for his outgoing nature and infectious positivity. He had a gift for conversation and never missed an opportunity to share a story or make someone laugh. Whether chatting with friends or strangers alike, he brought warmth and humor into every interaction. His optimism was unwavering—he always looked on the bright side of life and faced every challenge with courage and determination.
An accomplished bowler, Robert won numerous competitions over the years and took great pride in his skill. He also loved spending time at the racetrack and found joy in the camaraderie of those shared experiences. His hobbies reflected his zest for life and his appreciation for both competition and connection.
Robert’s legacy lives on through his loving family: his sister Valerie Tobin; his son Robert J. Weland and daughter-in-law Amy Garrett; his daughter Cindy Weland and daughter-in-law Patricia Dempsey; and his cherished granddaughter Audrey Weland. He was preceded in death by his parents, Philp Weland and Marie Weland.
Robert Weland will be remembered for his generous spirit, tireless dedication to others, and the joy he brought to those around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held on January 5, 2026, from 04:00 PM to 07:00 PM at Anderson and Campbell 703 Main Street, Toms River.
