Ronald L. Widner

Ronald Litteer Widner, 79, of Toms River, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Alcoeur Gardens in Toms River. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on Nov. 9, 1933 to Ralph and Viola Widner. After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1956, Ronald joined the U.S. Air Force and served his country proudly for 12 years. In 1966, he married the love his life Judith, and moved to Toms River in 1968 to begin his 25 year long career as a pilot with United Airlines. Ronald was a longtime and faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Toms River.

Surviving are his devoted wife Judith (Smith) Widner; his sons Ronald Joseph and his wife Linda and Michael Ralph and his wife Melinda; his brother Ralph and his wife Joan; and two cherished grandchildren Maxwell and Madeline.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, Oct 12, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until the Service at 3:30 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ronald’s memory to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
