November 16, 1990 – October 14, 2021
On October 14, 2021 the world become a little less bright, as a beacon of light was taken from us far too soon but in return heaven gained its brightest star. Sarah Fuentes Strangio, passed away after a valiant battle surrounded by her husband, mother, and two brothers. Sarah was a bombshell; a strong, passionate woman who impacted every person that had the fortune to cross paths with her, and brighten every room that she walked into. Whether it was her electrifying smile, contagious laughter, or her kind beautiful eyes that made you feel like you were looking into the sea.
She was fiercely independent, and never one to back down from a fight, even in her final hours she fought to the bitter end. She was a kind, and gentle soul that always knew what to say or do to help soothe even the deepest of wounds. Her drive and talent led her along different paths, with each one she left an imprint along the way. Her final and favorite home at the Bombshell Hair & Beauty Bar as a head stylist.
Born on November 16th, 1990 in Long Branch, NJ, in true Sarah fashion she came out of the womb when she wanted to; two weeks late truth be told. As the only daughter to Colleen, their bond was unbreakable. Throughout their brief time together, they shared their love of music (Reba, Dolly, Elvis, Fleetwood Mac were often heard in their vicinity) going to more than 50 concerts together, sharing Tab soda, joking and goofing around and sharing secrets that they will keep forever in their hearts. As the youngest daughter to Everjisto, while they disagreed at times, they were quick to remind each other how much they loved one another. They shared jokes and even volunteered to coach a soccer team together. Ever will always miss her “flipping him off” which had become their everyday tradition even as she left her house for the very last time.
Sarah would often visit her grandparents and family in Monmouth Beach, it was often said, “As soon as school let out for summer, she had a bag packed to visit Gram and Pop’s”. This close connection to her grandparents led her to become a fourth-generation member of the Monmouth Beach Ladies Auxiliary and to her love of lighthouses. Sarah even got married at the Absecon Lighthouse and had planned to visit as many lighthouses as possible with her husband, Ronny. She took great pride in her brothers, Patrick and Matthew “Matty”, with the latter being the apple of her eye. Conversations with outside people turned into her talking endlessly about how proud she was of them. Their jokes and laughter (and sometimes shouting) always filled everywhere when they were together. She shared and supported their love for soccer as well as anything else they showed an interest in and was fiercely protective of both of them.
Sarah found the love of her life in Ronny Strangio. They were to celebrate their first year of Marriage together on October 16th. He learned early on who the “Boss” of the relationship was, but in that he gained a person who would always be there and help guide him in the most troubling times even now in her death. They enjoyed travelling together and taking trips to explore different cities throughout the country. Ronny proposed to her on the plane ride to Nashville. Sarah even convinced Ronny to have their honeymoon in Salem, Massachusetts in October to not only celebrate their marriage but also her love of horror and ghost tales. These were a few of the many places they had hoped to visit and share their love with each other. Ronny made a promise to become a man that she would always be proud of, and he vows to keep that promise. The family takes solace in the outpouring of support that they have received during this tough time and in knowing that in her last act of love, she was able to help the lives of several people through organ donation.
