Stanley K. Brown, 86, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on April 9, 2013, at home. He was born in Iowa, and lived in East Orange, NJ, before moving to Toms River over fifty years ago. He worked for the Ocean County Bridge Department as a supervisor for 25 years, retiring 20 years ago. Stanley was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during both Korea and WWII. He was a member of American Legion Post 129 of Toms River and was a past commander. Stanley was predeceased by his beloved wife Ruth Eleanor Brown in 1993 and his daughter Danasue Palmieri. He is survived by three sons: Daniel of Barnegat, Kevin of New Egypt, and Keith of Kentucky; one daughter Patricia Brown of Toms River; one sister Beverly Parr and her husband Harry of Illinois, and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews Visitation will be Monday 5-8PM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. There will be an American Legion Service at 7:30PM. Cremation will be private. Condolences may be made by visiting

I am very sorry and sad to learn of Stan's passing. He was a big part of my life and my family's life for many years. Our hearts are heavy. I will miss my telephone conversations with him. He always made me smile. I loved him so. God bless.
