Born on February 23, 1931, in Wilson, Oklahoma, Stan was the son of Norman and Irene Clark. He grew up in a loving and lively household with his siblings Joyce, Jim, Nancy Anne, Butch, and Marianne. From a young age, he showed a natural curiosity and calm determination that would shape the rest of his life.
After serving honorably in the United States Air Force, Stan pursued his education at East Central State College in Ada, Oklahoma, earning a degree in Economics with a strong emphasis in Mathematics. His education laid the groundwork for a career that blended his analytical mind with a deep interest in problem-solving.
Stan relocated to Newburgh, New York, after being hired by Western Electric, where he met Linda Pellizzari—the woman who would become his wife and lifelong partner. The two married on March 7, 1959, and went on to raise a family of four: son Alan, and daughters Lori, Tami, and Cathi.
As a family, the Clarks lived in various places across the country, always embracing adventure and opportunity. In 1978, they made their permanent home in Toms River, New Jersey. Stan had an engineer’s mind and a love for reading, often found with a newspaper or book in hand, ready to discuss world events or dive into a thoughtful debate with family and friends.
In his later years, Stan took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He delighted in their stories, celebrated their achievements, and offered his quiet wisdom and steady presence at every stage of their lives.
Stan is survived by his devoted wife Linda, their four children, and a large extended family. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Stan Clark leaves behind a legacy of intelligence, humility, devotion, and love—a life lived with quiet strength and lasting impact.
