OBITUARY

Stephanie A. Decker

March 15, 1957October 11, 2021

Stephanie Anne Decker passed away on Monday, October 11th 2021. A native of New Jersey her whole life, although she’d say she lived in the moment. She had many titles: Daughter, Sister, Friend, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and she excelled at all of them. An artist at heart. Her family was her canvas; her love the paint. She is predeceased by her parents George and Evelyn Decker, her brothers George and Joseph Decker and her sister Deborah Silvio. She also outlived two out of her three husbands. She is survived by her children Chris, wife Genese; Gina; Steven, wife Erica; Siever, wife Jacleen and Tyler fiance Alex. She also leaves ten Grandchildren: Eric, Shaun, Brionna, Elijah, Maleah, Natalia, Lilly, Charlotte, Landon and Isaac. And three great Grandchildren: Elionna, Logan and Zayd. She touched our lives and we are better for it, and even though she is gone from the world she will never leave our hearts.

A Memorial Gathering to celebrate the life of Stephanie will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. Cremation will be private.

I'm shocked! I was married to Stephanie's sister Josie many years ago. Although Stephanie and I weren't in contact much over the years since moving to Florida, I did chat with her in Facebook on occasion. I've known the Decker family since 1979. If I had to describe her, I would have to say I always remembered her as a Free Sprit. We always seemed to hit it off. I'm so sorry for the loss. 😥

It’s very hard writing this through tears .I will miss you terribly. I’ll never forget how we got up at 4:30 in the morning on Sundays to go to the flea market and sell our junk and we laughed all day. I will miss you coming into the salon every month and talking about our secret stories. We were supposed to go to Long Beach Island to see a show and have dinner and have fun and that was the day you got sick. You said you were afraid to go because you were afraid that you would ruin everybody’s day because you didn’t feel good. You were not only my cousin but you were my friend to. And I’ll never forget the day you left us it was my sisters birthday (Your cousins) October 11 💔💔💔 You will always be in my heart.
Love cousin Diane

I've known Stephanie and her family now for a little over 27 years. Stephanie was a very giving person...if she wasn't supporting an entire orphanage during the holidays making sure they had a great Christmas, it was another cause that she held close to her heart. She was one of the 1st visitors I had when my son was born 27 yrs ago. She met him before any of my family and was always supportive. She be missed!
