Born December 9, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY to Isabelle and Milton Jacobs. Steven was the eldest of three boys. He was raised in Bermuda before moving to the states to attend college. He met his wife Barbara while attending the University of Maryland, where he earned a degree in journalism. Throughout his career, he worked as a creative/marketing director in publishing. His greatest joys in life included photography, fishing, Maryland basketball, soccer, and most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara, his daughter Robin (Michael and their son Lucas), his son Jason (Jayne and their children Cole and Charlotte). He is also survived by his brothers Larry and Eric.
The family will welcome visitors on Saturday, May 20 from 12pm-1:30pm at Anderson & Campbell at 703 Main Street in Toms River, NJ. A celebration of life will follow at 1:30pm.
