Susan M. May

Susan was born in Jersey City on May 2, 1948 and moved to Carteret during grammar school. She and her husband Tom moved to Toms River shortly after being married and have lived there for 40 years. Susan is a graduate of Ocean County Vo. Tech where she earned her LPN, then received her RN from Ocean County College. For many years she had worked in Point Pleasant Hospital and later transferred to Ocean Medical Center in Brick, where she managed the Post Intensive Care Unit, retiring in 2007.

Predeceased by her Father John J. Teague, Susan is survived by her husband Thomas of 42 years; a son Daryn and his fiance Wendy Swenney of Rochester,NY; her daughter Kristen Branz and her husband Robert, four grandsons Daniel, Patrick, Jonathan, and Christopher Branz all of North Brunswick. She is also survived by her mother Audrey Teague of Brick; two brothers John Teague of Florida and James Teague his wife Joyce of Brick; and her sister Margaret Meyer of Whiting. In addition, she is survived by twelve nieces and nephews; and thirteen great nieces and nephews.

Visiting will be held Thursday, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Susan’s life will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 685 Hooper Ave. Toms River. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, prayers and masses may be offered for Susan and her Family.
