Born in Jersey City, He lived in Jersey City, Secaucus, and Brick before moving to Toms River.
Thomas worked as an auto mechanic in Jersey City and retired from Hudson Toyota. After retiring he was a maintenance manager for a seasonal condo complex in Lavalette NJ.
Thomas is predeceased by both of his parents, and his sisters Maryann, Phyllis, Alicia, Eileen, Helen, and his brother James.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 49 years Alvina Dyas, daughter Lisa Abahazy son-in-law Shawn Abahazy, daughter Margaretann Dyas, granddaughters Alexis and Samantha Abahazy, Penelope Masco and grandsons Shawn Abahazy and James Thomas Masco.
A memorial service for Thomas will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755.
