Walter A. Fiderer

Born in Garfield, he also lived many years in Clifton before retiring to Manchester Township 15 years ago.

He was a maintenance Supervisor for many years in Hawthorne, caring for an apartment complex.

He was also an auxiliary Police Officer in Clifton for many years, and a Security Patrol Volunteer.

Walter was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Whiting.

He was an avid bowler, loved to play shuffleboard and bocce ball.

Most of all, he was a devoted family man, loved spending time with his loving wife and children and grandchildren.

Mr. Fiderer was predeceased by his parents Adam and Clara Fiderer, and a son in law Richard W. Miller.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 63 years, Margaret Besada Fiderer; three daughters, Sharon Miller, Donna Harrington and her husband Walter, and Dawn McDonald and her husband John; 8 grandchildren, Kristy McKeown, Richard V. Miller, Valerie Miller, Amanda McDonald, Christopher McDonald, Katherine Harrington, Chayna O'Brien and Chandra O'Brien.

Visitation will be on Saturday, 2 - 5 PM at HORIZON FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.

A blessing will be offered in the funeral home at 4:30 PM.

Cremation will be private.
