Walter J. Ringel, age 72, of Holiday City, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016 at his home. He was born in Staten Island and resided there until 1974, when he moved to South Toms River before settling down in Holiday City in 2003. Walter was a corrections officer for the state of New York for 19 years.
Mr. Ringel is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara; children Scott Ringel and his wife, Laureen, of Toms River,
and Deana Rankin and her husband, Frank, of Beachwood; grandchildren, Patrick Rankin, Scott Ringel, and Kailyn Ringel, and many other loving family and friends.
A memorial service honoring Walter's life will take place on Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 10AM to 12PM, with prayer services beginning at 11:30AM, followed by military honors at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755.
