Wilfred Tanney Fisher

Born in Bayonne, he lived there and in Linden and Jackson before moving to Leisure Knoll thirteen years ago.

A parishioner of St John RC Church, Lakehurst, he was a Third Degree member of

Knights of Columbus Fr. Emil J. Kapaun Council #10022, and the John D. McMahon Fourth Degree Assembly 1926.

He was a member of the Footlighters, the Italian American Club, and the Irish American Club, all of Leisure Knoll.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, June; his children, William Fisher and his wife Theresa of Toms River, James Fisher of Toms River, Joe Fisher and his wife Jacqueline of Pine Hill, NJ, Anthony Rajoppe of California, Michael Rajoppe of Brick, Timothy Liquori of Jackson Bobby Liquori of Virginia, and Barbara Kibler of PA; two grandchildren, Michael and William Fisher; two step grandchildren, Josh and Ian; and many foster grandchildren.

Cremation was private and entrusted to Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.

A memorial gathering and service will be held on Thursday, January 22 from 7-9 pm at the funeral home, and interment of cremains with Military Honors will take place on Friday, January 23 at 1:30pm at the Brigadier General WC Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
