William Earl Cabey Sr.

William E. Cabey, 77, of Toms River, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born in Hazelton, PA and grew up in Woodbury, NJ. He began a 37 year career with Ciba Geigy in 1959 and moved to Toms River in 1960. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Toms River and was involved in many community organizations, including the TR Little League, Boy Scout Troup 88 at the Katzenbach School for the Deaf, and the TR Biddy Basketball league. Bill enjoyed all sports, especially golf. Most of all Bill (Pop Pop) enjoyed supporting his children and grandchildren in their many scholastic, athletic, and career endeavors through the years. He was also “Pop Pop” to so many of his grandchildren’s cousins and friends.

Bill is predeceased by his daughter Julie Barrett. Surviving are his devoted wife, Barbara; his children, William Jr. and wife Karen, David and wife Elizabeth, Gary, and Ken and wife Suanne, and his son-in-law Joseph Barrett; his grandchildren, William III, Rachael, Leanne, Melissa, Kristina, Stephanie, Jack, Dana, Gabrielle, Joseph and wife Katelyn, Amanda, Carly, and Lindsay; and great-grandson Jagger.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-7 pm Sunday August 7 at the Anderson Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River. A memorial service will be held 11 am Monday August 8 at the Presbyterian Church of Toms River, 1070 Hooper Avenue.
