Bill was born May 16, 1930 in Big Run, Pennsylvania, the youngest of thirteen children of John and Edith Feicht.
He graduated from Reynoldsville High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force at the age of 18. Bill served as a fireman on Guam during the Korean War.
Bill went on to attend Indiana State Teacher’s College, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, where he met Arline. They shared the next 62 years together. He was a guidance counselor at Southern Regional High School for most of his career.
Bill was a huge Pittsburg Steelers fan. He was an avid reader mostly interested in history, especially books about World Word II. He also enjoyed camping with his family and traveling.
He served for many years as a deacon and elder of the Presbyterian Church of Toms River. He also served on the Board of Directors for Preferred Behavioral Health of Brick, NJ. He also volunteered with Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey.
Bill lived and raised his family in Toms River, NJ before moving to Manchester, NJ and finally Lakewood, NJ.
Bill is survived by his wife, Arline Feicht, his two daughters, Doreen and Carla and her husband Jerry. He has four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited for visitation on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at Anderson Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. Funeral services are on Thursday, September 13 at 11 am at The Presbyterian Church of Toms River, 1070 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ.
