

Born in New York City, he lived in Jersey City, NJ for many years until moving to Bayonne, Nj, South Amboy, NJ and then lived in Keansburg, NJ for many year before settling in Leisure Village in 2014.
Prior to his retirement he was a truck driver for many years. He worked at Inland Freightways and later at Divella Pasta USA. He also worked at President Park Gulf in Sayreville, NJ and later at the Shell Station in Keansburg, NJ. He loved to watch old movies, horror flicks, was a Star Trek fan, enjoyed game shows such as Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. He had a passion for collecting model cars, comics, and all sorts of coins. He also loved bowling and was in leagues at Hudson Lanes in Bayonne, NJ, Roosevelt Lanes in Jersey City, NJ and Ocean Lanes in Lakewood, NJ for many years.
He was predeceased by his parents, James and Viola Godsil, his daughter Krystine Godsil and his sister, Veronica Cinelli. He is survived by his wife, Barbara,
His children Tracy Godsil of Morganville, NJ, Peter Godsil of Los Angeles, CA, William Godsil Jr. of Susanville, CA, Carol Ann Bordenabe and her husband Freddy of Old Bridge, NJ, and Robert Godsil and his wife Danielle of Manalapan, NJ. He had 10 Grandchildren, Andrew, Lea, Justin, Dylan, Evan, Aiden, Matthew, Robert Jr., Julianna, and Adelynn Rose.
Cremation was private under the direction of Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ. The Memorial Service will be held at the funeral parlor on Sunday, August 13th between the hours of 2:00 p.m. And 6:00 p.m. anybody who would like to attend is welcomed by the family.
