

William J. Madigan Sr., our hero, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 9, 2013, with his family by his side. Bill was born in Teaneck, NJ. He was a graduate of Brick H.S. 1964, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Upon returning from duty, he married in 1969 and soon moved from East Rutherford to Toms River in 1972. Bill was a lifelong butcher beginning in 1962. He was the owner of P & M Meats in Beachwood from 1974-1981. For the remainder of his career, he was employed by Food Circus, Super Foodtown of Toms River, Sea Girt, and Wall; spanning 51 years.
Bill is predeceased by his father Francis Thomas Madigan in 1980; his mother Edna Madigan in 1995; and his brother James Francis Madigan in 2008. He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen of 43 years; his three boys: William Jr., Christopher, and Bryan; two daughter-in-laws: Tamie and Sandra; seven grandchildren: Christopher Jr., Morgan, Jordyn, Kiley, Mikayla, William III, and Caprese; his mother-in-law Anna Petrillo; his brother-in-law Michael Petrillo and his wife Ellen; his nephews: James, Michael, Brett, and Mario; his nieces: Jennifer, Tiffany, Danelle; along with the DeCicco Family of Toms River, Lakewood, New Brunswick and Holmdel.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 14, 2013, from 2-4 and 7-9PM, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ.
