Passed away peacefully on April 3, 2013 at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by her beloved Husband Salvatore. Loving Mother of Mary (Sal Ritacca), Lena (Tony Savino), and Roberto (Dulce). Cherished Nonna of Virginia (Pier Luigi), Marco (Pamela), Patricia, Laurie, Daniela, Giulia, Nadia, Alessia, Bisnonna of Gianna. Alda will be dearly missed by her sisters Maria Martelli, Gina Nicotera, and Elena Martelli and their families. A special thank you to the staff at New Horizons Tower, Toronto Western Hospital and the Toronto E.M.S. for their attentive care. Friends may visit the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W., (One block East of Dufferin) on Thursday from 7-9pm and on Friday from 2:30-4:30 pm & 7-9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday April 6th, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Church (1041 Bloor St. W.) at 9:30am. Entombment to follow at Prospect Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Alda may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
