Aleksa Spasojevic

Aleksa Spasojevic, beloved dad, husband, grandpa and great-grandpa passed away on March 27, 2025. Ever since the passing of his darling wife Radojka, Aleksa has been broken-hearted and yearning to be with her again. And in the end, he went to be with his beloved wife from whom he has been inseparable for many decades.

Throughout his life, Aleksa had a wicked sense of humor, making fun and light of many situations. He loved impersonations and he made us all laugh on a daily basis. His sense of humour was accompanied by a deep love of coffee, with which he would start every morning and which gave him such pure joy and undiluted pleasure.

Aleksa’s unrealized dying wish was to visit Derventa one more time - the town in which he and Radojka lived in in Bosnia. We truly hope that his footsteps will continue to echo on Derventa’s rolling hills and that river Ukrina will forever whisper his name.

Graveside service for Aleksa will be held on Thursday, Apr 3rd at 11am at St. John's Norway Cemetery. Address: 256 Kingston Rd. Reception at a restaurant to follow.
