Alex's family are saddened to announce his recent unexpected passing at home just short of his 79th birthday. Alex was the beloved son of the late Alex and Annie Wallace, brother of Anne and her husband, John Jenkinson, and Heather and her husband, Christopher Woodbury. He was the proud uncle to Stephen (Denise), Robert (Farheen), David and to Andrew (Maija) and Matthew and a great uncle to five.
Alex was an employee of the University of Toronto for many years and a long time season ticket holder and fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Team Canada. He was present at Maple Leaf Gardens in 1967 for the most recent Stanley Cup victory by the Leafs and also was in Moscow for the 1972 Summit Series. In more recent years, he very much enjoyed attending many World Junior Tournaments.
Alex will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON, M4C1L3, CA, on March 25, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm.
