Mr. Allan Leonardo Javier Mata

Allan Leonardo Javier Mata, 49, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013 in Toronto, Canada. Allan was born November 6, 1963 to Alfredo and Margie in Quezon City, Philippines, the older brother to Edwin. In 1977, he came to Canada with his family.

In 1980, his final year of high school, Allan met the love of his life, Susie. He quickly won her heart with his warm smile, giving nature, and sweet heart. He began his career at St. Michael's Hospital in 1982, where he worked for the rest of his life, made many friends, and touched many lives. Allan loved to spend his time with his family and friends. He had an appreciation for art, as well as artistic talent, and enjoyed drawing, writing letters, painting and assembling model kits, and reading. He also enjoyed helping others out, in any way he could.

Allan is survived by his wife, Susie; daughters, Nerissa and Ariahna; parents, Alfredo and Margie; brother, Edwin; sister-in-law, Mary; niece, Lauren; and nephew, Aiden.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home & Chapel at 11am. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 3pm - 8pm & Thursday, February 14 at 10am - 11am.
