Just found out  ,  Sad my Condolences  to his family and partner . May he rest in peace . I will remember the good times we had !  So much i could say knowing his private life sadly .

Like so many others, I am in shock to hear of Andy's passing, and so my first words must be of condolence to his family and closest friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this sad time.
 "When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure."

Although we worked together multiple times, I first met Andy when we were Naval Reservist's in the mid 1990's, serving as fellow Yeoman's together on sister ships out of Halifax before we both transferred to the Regular Force. What first struck me about him, other than his infectious smile, sense of humor, and likeable personality, was his intelligence. He had a way about him, an outside the box thinker to resolve problems, and a very intelligent NAV COMM. He motivated others around him to be better, and always made everyone feel a welcomed part of the team. Andy has touched so many lives in a positive way, and we are all the better for knowing this kind and caring person. Rest in Peace Andy.

My sincere condolences to Andy’s family and friends, I am so sorry for your loss. Andy was a member of my team at National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa, 2018-2020, where Andy coordinated our international standardization agreements with our closest allies in the Five Eyes and NATO. On every file, Andy’s work was exceptional. He was highly respected by all the nations for his knowledge and his ability to get things done. What I remember most about Andy was our conversations, we enjoyed talking with each other. Andy’s cubicle was next to the window on the 8th floor looking over Rideau Canal and Confederation Park.  I would often stop by his cubicle, sit on the radiator, and we would talk about work or anything else going on in the world, and solve all the world’s problems. I will miss you Andy.

I’m in shock; so sorry to the family and friends for their loss. Andy was with me the day I met my wife, has been to our home for supper and met my daughters, a true friend. He was a dedicated member of the CAF and so very good at his job. We sailed together for multiple deployments and I have many fond memories, I will remember them all.

I had the great privilege of sailing with Andy on quite a few different ships over the years. The one deployment of course, which was the greatest of all deployments, was the trip onboard HMCS Calgary.  This took us on many adventures, learning experiences and of course around the globe. Andy always stood out as a dedicated and hard working sailor who always went the extra to complete his duties to an extremely high level. He always brought laughter and knowledge to any situation. He was always there to help out any shipmate in need and was truly a great friend. My deepest condolences to  the family. Andy will be missed.

Both my husband and I had the privilege of sailing around the globe with Andy in HMCS Calgary. He was so many things… a mentor, a teacher, a hardworking communications specialist/perfectionist and a friend,  who will be dearly missed.

My condolences. Andy was a caring soul, and one of the smartest and funniest people I knew. He made me feel so wanted and comfortable in an environment that was not welcoming. . He challenged me and he believed in me.  He was always  happy to see me., His  amazing smile and authentic soul will  forever be held in my heart. I am so sorry for your incredible loss. RIP Andy. You were loved and will be celebrated and remembered .

My heart goes out to Andy's family and friends.  I can't believe this has happened.  Andy and I have known each for near 30 years thru the navy.  Some how we were always on the opposite side of the planet but those rare times we connected...it was just like no time had past at all. A great sailor and shipmate. He will be missed.

I had the privilege to work with Andy at ASU Toronto. Always ready to serve, he constantly projected a positive and enjoyable attitude and, his eagerness to make life easier for us operators was noteworthy. I send my most sincere condolences to family and friends. Stand easy brother, we got the watch. Fair winds and following seas.
