Anne Margaret Gray

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Margaret Gray at the Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital in Toronto, on February 15, 2024. Anne fought a 12-month battle with cancer with grace and determination. Anne was born in Scarborough, Ontario on October 24, 1960 and was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Jean Gray and her first husband, Michael Psaki. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her brother Philip Gray (Hélene Beauchesne), her nieces Zoë and Gabrielle Gray, her husband Brian Somerville and his children, Jocelyn and Liam Somerville.

Anne was an avid reader, a lover of live music, a fan of the Cryptic Crossword and loved a challenging jigsaw puzzle. She travelled extensively but had a soft spot in her heart for Sayulita, Mexico where she and Brian married and were able to return to a number of times before COVID interrupted the world. Her favourite places in Toronto included Ashbridge’s Bay Yacht Club where she enjoyed spending time on the boat, socializing and playing some very competitive card games. During the boating season, she and Brian spent many days at the Hanlan’s Point mooring wall enjoying the Toronto islands to their fullest.

In accordance with Anne’s wishes, she has been cremated and at her request there will be no formal service or celebration of life.
