Caro Compare,

You have been our Compare for the past 37 years and you and your family have been a very important part of our life. A Zio to Clara and Compare to Monique and Bianca. In the early years we spent every holiday together and we have wonderful memories of our children growing together. Our greatest memory of you will be of your kind,gentle,welcoming nature and your stories. I can hear them now as I write this and it brings me to tears. You and my husband shared such a great Respect for each other and that to us is the most important memory. You and I shared the same birthday and I will think of you each year on that date. I will always think of you as the strong, gentle and loving nono that you were, the nono that was there for me, and the nono that was with me and will always be with me throughout my life's milestones. Growing up I remember your home always bubbling with life: family, friends, laughter, long conversations, food and wine, loud card games; bright fireworks. Lots of love.  I never wanted to leave. Those times have passed, but the love has not - thank you Toni.
