Arthur White, of the Society of Jesus, a Jesuit brother, died on August 23 2024. Arthur was born in Winnipeg, Man., 23 October, 1936, went to St. Paul Jesuit High School there, and entered the Jesuit novitiate in Guelph in 1956. He was a man of many talents. His assistance to many Jesuit activities included, managing community houses, cooking, secretarial support for many important international meetings, such as Vatican Council II, General Congregations the Jesuits in Rome and supporting the Jesuit Refugee Services. His work often required him to travel to many parts of the world. A lover of opera, he also loved meeting people wherever he travelled. He was competent, well liked and effective in whatever work he was assigned to do. He will be missed by his many friends and Jesuits in Canada and around the world.
VISITATION: Thursday August 29th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, with prayer vigil at 7:30 pm, in the chapel of René Goupil Residence, 2315 Liverpool Road, Pickering ON.

BURIAL: Friday August 30th at 2:30 pm at the Jesuit Cemetery, 5420 Highway 6 North, Guelph ON.
