Each time I see Dad's number on my phone I have to stop myself from dialing.

To my father who although we had a strained relationship earlier in life we were able to reconcile and devolop a loving and caring relationship. My last conversation with my Dad ended with the words I Love You. 
I have no regrets and no words that need to be said beyond that,

Brad, You will missed greatly but you will always have a special place in my heart.  I have a lot of fantastic memories to hold dear and I feel comfort in knowing that you are no longer in pain.  I will love you always.

So sorry we are unable to travel to the city to be with you during this difficult time.  Great-Uncle Banford was well thought of - very fond memories his visits with Grammie (Emma) Acorn - He will be truely missed.

Thoughts and sympathy go out to all the family in the loss of my Uncle Banford. It is sad to see the last one of my father`s siblings go home. It  is nice to see all the pictures as it has been a long time since we had seen him. He looks and smiles like Dad and I can see that fun loving personality  shine through. Our prayers go with you at this time.

memories go back to when you and Dad were working in the lumber woods. You were always teasing and Dad always seemed to be chasing you.You both have the same smile.You're together now.

Dear Papa....We thought of you with love today but that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday and days before that too. We think of you in slince we often speak your name. Now all we have is memories. Your memory is our keep sake. With which will never part. God has you in his keeping. I have you in my hart. love you always Melissa.

Dad will be missed for the good humour, welcoming smiles and great hospitality that he always showed to everyone that came to his door . 

  On occasion it may have been one person or sometimes whole families but whatever the case, all were included as a bigger part of our whole family.   

There was always enough food and and I don't remember anyone ever sleeping on the floor (but by choice or other circumstances). 

I think that is the main reason that we are so welcoming of all peoples and help us get along better in our lives.  Dad always enjoyed just sitting with people,  being there, sharing the view, small stories and some gossip if we pushed for it.  

We once sat on the beach on PEI for five hours with no more that three sentences between us.  The group included myself, Dad, Mary Biggar, Neslon, Christopher, Dawn Lee Ann, one fly and one bumble bee.  It was too quiet, even for the children. who chased a school of phinney fish around the edge of the water.  Nelson had gone off digging quahaugs around the point which made all this calm possible.  

He enjoyed peoples company without having to be entertained.  What more can a person need but to know that you are listened to and appreciated for just who are.  

We will miss you.
