Barb worked with my Mother Mary at CALC and that is how I met her. She was such a kind, caring, loving and joyous person whom we were lucky to have had the pleasure of meeting and knowing. She will always be remembered as that happy, sweet woman who adored her grandchildren and whenever we think of her or remember her we see her with that infectious smile she always wore. I was very sorry to hear about the passing of Barbara Jordan. We worked together for many years at the City Adult Learning Centre. She always had a big smile for both staff and students. She was kind and helpful to everyone. Her family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren. My condolences to all the family.

Such sad news. In addition to our shared enjoyment of spending time at Rob Watson's family cottage at Round Lake and eating the fish caught there, Barb and I spent quite a bit of time together in the past couple of years whenever I was available to drive her to and from appointments at Mt. Sinai. Despite the reason for these frequent trips being for the treatment of and/or monitoring of her serious health issues, my memories of our time together in the van is of her lively conversations which were always filled with laughter. Barb Daly and I went to school together in Guelph, Ontario. She lived two blocks away from me and I recall visiting her home in about grade 4 or 5 and being introduced to Hollywood magazines. This was terribly exciting -- photos of stars, décolletage-- stuff never heard of before and we would sit on her bed and pore over the magazines. I think they might have been her older sister's? 
     I remember her as quiet, rather shy, sweetly pretty -- as in her wedding photo -- and was delighted to see the huge smile and comfortable spirit gleaming from the photo gallery showing moments in her life.
     Several high school friends of Barb's get together for dinner twice a year and we had several times asked if anyone knew where she was or how she was, what she had done. These friends are Ann (Caswell) Harris, Ann (Taylor) Dewees, Anne (Emeny) Saxton, and Carol Anne (Matthews) Wien. It is Carol Anne sending this message, with sadness that we were too late. I remember her as kind.

I'm so sorry to hear the sad news about Barbara's passing and my deepest sympathies to all her family and friends during this difficult time. I first met Barbara at 8 years old when I came over to Canada with my family for holiday and was introduced via Lois and Don. I will always remember her being such a kind, generous and funny lady making me feel welcome at her home. I was fortunate enough to meet Barbara on my repeat visits to Toronto and I have lovely memories of spending time with her at Havelock and funny moments during Don's famous barbecues. Barbara was a wonderful person and I am so sorry to hear the terrible news. She will be missed.

My sincere sympathy goes out to all of Barb's family.  Although it has been many years since I have seen Barb, I have wonderful memories of working with her at Bowmore.  I hope that good memories of your times with Barb will carry you through these difficult days.  May she rest in peace.

I am so upset and sorry to hear of Barb's death. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy at this awful time. She was so pleased to be living near her family and so proud of you all.

It was a true privilege to meet Barb and get to know her on my trips to Canada. She was such fun and so kind and caring. She was very generous in letting me, Rose and Tom stay with in her apartment when we were visiting our mutual friends Lois and Don. We also enjoyed spending time with Barb at Roundlake and at Lois' and Don's home in Toronto. It was a shame that Barb was never well enough to travel 'across the pond' and come spend time with us in London as I hoped she would.

Barb was the kind of person who makes the world a better place for being in it. I am glad to have known her.

Barb was the kindest, wisest, most gracious and caring person. She not only was generous with her heart and her spirit but with anything she could share. If she could possibly do anything for anyone, she would. She loved to laugh. She was such a positive person who loved others and was in turn loved so much by them. The Watson families of Toronto, Havelock and Round Lake considered her an Honorary Watson (an honour not lightly bestowed!). While  we are all relieved that our dear Barb is no longer in pain, we are also broken-hearted for Barb's family and friends who like us will all miss her so much.
