Barbara Ann May Lidster

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara “Barb” Lidster in her 62nd year. After a long battle with illness, she lost the fight and will rejoin her sister, Susan, her husband Jim, her parents, Gilbert and Helena, and all of those who have passed on before her.

Barb was born in Toronto, Ontario and was a strong woman who faced every challenge life threw her way head-on. She was a stay-at-home Mom to 3 girls who she loved dearly, Jenn, Amber, and Lesley and “Nanny” to her 3 grandchildren, Austin, Alex, and Leah who were the light of her life.

She will be dearly missed by her family, including her brother John, her sisters Debra and Bonita, her friends, and everyone who knew her.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank the staff at Michael Garron Hospital, particularly the nurses and doctors directly involved in her final days. We thank you kindly for treating her with the utmost respect and helping her to leave this world peacefully and painlessly. We are forever grateful to you.

To our family and friends who have reached out and offered support and condolences over these very difficult days, we are grateful to you, as well.

Visitation will be held at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON, M4C1L3, CA, on June 5, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON, M4C1L3, CA, on June 5, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
