B. Patricia Hope (Bolton), 90, of Toronto, ON, died peacefully, surrounded by family, on Sunday, January 29, 2023.

“Pat”, daughter of the late Richard and Ada Bolton, was predeceased by her childhood sweetheart and loving husband, Dr. John C.D. Hope, as well as siblings Elizabeth (Betty) Duffin, Richard (Dick) Bolton, Joan Aitken, and Nancy Turner. Born in Toronto in 1932, she attended Oakwood Collegiate. A smart and talented young woman with a “firecracker” personality and “booming” voice, Pat went on to sing professionally with The Leslie Bell Singers from 1953 to 1962. Concurrent with her singing career she attended teachers college in Toronto. After touring with the choir, marrying in 1956, and teaching primary school for several years, she focused on raising a family with husband John and administrating their chiropractic practice. An avid reader, volunteer, athlete and traveler, Pat is survived by her loving adult children Alison (Jamey Fraser), Jonathan (Cynthia Hope) and Andrea (John Wallace). She will be sorely missed by hergrandchildren: Madeleine and George Hope-Fraser, Greer and Ethan Hope, Jesse and Sam Wallace, and Erik Lecky. And, she will be dearly remembered by her big sister Mary Thompson and sisters-in-law Margaret Prichard and Evelyn Bolton, her many nieces/nephews, and an incredible circle of friends. As a modern and thoughtful woman, Pat/Mom/Nani’s memory will be cherished by all those who were privileged enough to spend time with her, share a laugh, or receive her wise counsel. A celebration of Pat’s life was held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at in Christie Gardens. Special thanks to Doctors Stewart, Kopplin, and Tepper, and the nursing and care staff of Christie Gardens for their attentive care.
